August-September Pre Order Batch
Why everything is on pre-order
Demand outran our last production batch by a wide margin and we sold out. Rather than hide the catalog behind an out-of-stock wall, we opened the next batch for pre-order.
We build in batches instead of holding deep standing inventory. Every enclosure is cut, formed, and assembled to order in a run, and each run is sized against what we expect to sell. When a run clears faster than planned, there is a gap between the last unit shipping and the next run coming off the line. That gap is where we are now.
Pre-orders are how the next run gets funded and sized. They tell us exactly how many of each size to cut, which means less material waste and no guessing.
What to expect when you order
- Ship date
- We expect most of this batch to go out the week of September 14. Individual items vary by a few days depending on where they fall in the production run, so every product page lists a ship-by date for that specific item. That date is the one we commit to. If we finish early, it goes out early.
- Payment
- You are charged at checkout. That payment is what puts your unit into the production run.
- Cancelling
- You can cancel any time before your order ships and we refund you in full. Email us at customerservice@tarantulacribs.com.
- If a date moves
- We email you with the new ship date before the original one passes. You can accept it or cancel for a full refund. We will not sit on your money quietly.
- Mixed orders
- If your order has both in-stock and pre-order items, everything ships together on the pre-order date unless you ask us to split it.
Why not just mark everything sold out
Because it would cost you the option. A sold-out listing gives you nothing to act on and no date to plan around. A pre-order gives you a place in the run, a date, and the ability to walk away at any point before it ships.
If you have a question about a specific item or a date, email customerservice@tarantulacribs.com.
