Our isopod enclosures are designed for stability, moisture retention, and visibility — perfect for hobbyists breeding or displaying species like Porcellio, Armadillidium, and Cubaris. Each unit is built from durable, crystal-clear acrylic with adjustable ventilation options to help you fine-tune humidity for tropical, temperate, or arid species.
Choosing a Size & Setup:
Isopods thrive in enclosures that balance airflow and moisture. Smaller colonies do well in compact setups with cross-ventilation, while breeding groups or display colonies benefit from larger enclosures with deep substrate layers and moss zones. Include leaf litter, cork bark, and hides for both nutrition and shelter.
Keeper Tip:
Provide a moist area and a dry area to allow isopods to self-regulate humidity levels. A bioactive substrate mix of soil, moss, and decayed wood supports healthy molting and reproduction. For best results, avoid excessive airflow — isopods depend on a stable, humid microclimate to thrive.
