Designed for arboreal species such as Avicularia, Caribena, and Ybyrapora, these enclosures provide the perfect vertical space for climbing and web-building. Crafted from premium acrylic with precision ventilation, each unit offers a clear view of your tarantula’s natural behavior while maintaining ideal airflow and humidity for tree-dwelling species.
Choosing a Size:
Arboreal tarantulas thrive in enclosures that emphasize height over floor space. Juveniles typically do best in medium-sized enclosures with plenty of anchor points for webbing, while adults require taller setups that allow them to establish vertical retreats. A general rule is to provide at least three times the spider’s leg span in height and two times in width.
Front-Only vs. Front & Top Access:
Front-opening enclosures help protect webbing at the top, allowing your Avic or Caribena to build undisturbed—ideal for display and natural behavior. However, rehousing can be trickier with front-only designs. Models featuring both front and top access offer easier maintenance and feeding, but opening the lid may damage webbing if not done carefully. Many keepers choose based on their spider’s habits and their own comfort with handling and cleaning.
