Arboreal Web-Building Tarantula Enclosures
Designed for tree-dwelling web-builders like Psalmopoeus, Tapinauchenius, and Poecilotheria, these enclosures prioritize vertical space, airflow, and easy maintenance. Built from premium acrylic with precise cross-ventilation, they provide the perfect environment for climbing, webbing, and display.
Choosing a Size & Setup:
Arboreal species thrive in tall enclosures — ideally three to four times the spider’s leg span in height. Provide sturdy anchor points like cork bark tubes or branches to support web structures, along with moderate humidity and strong but gentle airflow. Juveniles do well in medium enclosures, while adults benefit from taller designs with both front and top access for maintenance.
Keeper Tip:
Arboreal web-builders construct intricate vertical retreats. Avoid disrupting their webbing by using front-opening enclosures for routine care. If you prefer dual-access models, open the top carefully to preserve their natural web tunnels. The right setup enhances display value and keeps your spider stress-free and secure.
