Africa's best-kept secret in the reptile hobby.
African house snakes (Boaedon species) have quietly earned a devoted following among keepers who know what to look for in a pet snake. They eat well — often from their very first feeding, with little of the fussiness you get from other species. They stay small, typically reaching 60–90cm as adults, which makes them easy to house, handle, and live with long-term. And they have a calm, exploratory temperament that makes every interaction genuinely enjoyable.
These are not flashy snakes. They won't top the social media algorithm. But put one in front of an experienced keeper and watch their eyes light up — because they know. House snakes are the real deal.
Our collection is produced in collaboration with Warren Klein of Bushveld Reptiles, bringing together decades of hands-on experience with these animals. Every snake is raised with the care and expertise that African house snakes deserve — and every one comes paired with our purpose-built Hatchling Haven enclosure, the world's first designed specifically for house snake hatchlings. Because a great snake deserves a great home.
