Mantids rely on strong grip and airflow at the top of their enclosures for molting. Unlike aluminum, cloth mesh provides a soft, safe surface that prevents injury and ensures successful molts. Select an enclosure that offers at least three times your mantid’s body length in height to allow proper molting clearance.
